DIAMOND N QUARTER HORSES

Larry & Kristi Rose of Lexington, Ohio bred Vaquero Cuban to Great Pine to produce Greatvaqueroette (GV for Short). GV was born on June 1, 1984. As a two year old she was sold to Gary L McCaskill of Timewell, Illinois. She was trained by Bill Horn and shown in Reining. In her 1987 year she had a few accomplishments in Reining. She was a Futurity Finalist and became the Winfield Western Virginia Open Class Champion. Then at the end of 1987 she was sold to Ken R Morgans of Pilot Point, Texas. In her 1988 show year being ridden by Vern Sapergia, she was a Derby Finalist in Both the Open & Ltd Open Divisions, plus. She her show record is as follows placed 3rd in the Regina Canada NRHA open class, and was the Willowbrook NRHA open class Champion. Overall GV won $7557.66 NRHA earnings. Then Sally Brown in 1988 purchased GV as a Christmas present for her life partner Buck Hazledine, who co-owns Fox Meadow Ranch in Maple Plane, Maine. They have used her as a broodmare.
